Raising Empathic Children in a Disconnected Age

Don't miss this important Family Center program for parents "Raising Empathetic Children in a Disconnected Age" at 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, at University
Liggett School, 1045 Cook Road, GPW. Bart Bronk, head of school at
University Liggett, will discuss children's emotional intelligence (EQ)
and why that measure strongly predicts success in a number of life
areas, including school. Learn what every parent should know about the
"anchor" EQ disposition of empathy, the ability to to feel with another,
and its development, expression, and viability in the digital age.
You'll leave with a renewed commitment to carefully tend to the empathic
lives of children and to emply empathic responses to strengthen
relationships.

your child during the 2018 GPPSS mid-winter break camp. Click the title

Thinking Summer? Register today for Camp Invention June 25-29 at Brownell

Camp
Invention's all-new summer program, Fast Forward, shows children that
even the wildest and craziest ideas can become reality! Campers in
grades K-6 will create a vehicle of the future, design a mechanical
robot dog, and build futuristic dream homes. Local educators lead the
week of fun, hands-on, STEM activities that encourage children to think
big, explore their curiosity, and never give up! Visit campinvention.org or call 800.968.4332 to register.
